Facebook is becoming far more powerful as it has incorporated new conversational functionality by streaming friends activity. Now it looks more like Friendfeed and Twitter. Of course, it takes getting used to, but those who love Friendfeed will tell you this is the future of microblogging and real time communication.
Even if I didn't believe that it was the future, I'd still support the movement to make it happen, simply because I think it is a more efficient way of getting important info out to our people. It is way easier to update my status on FB or Twitter vs writing a new blog post.
However, blogging still plays an important role in my SEO / SEM / content focused marketing model. Microblogging and your social broadcast systems will help drive traffic, keep me top of mind, and serve other relationship building objectives.
Either way, I'm excited to be part of the evolution and education. Thanks for leading the way, Pat.

I agree with the benefits of microblogging for real time communication.
