HomeCommission.com - New questionable business model asking real estate agents to quote their best listing commission rate in an auction format to get leads. Who thought this one up? Three observations:
- as an agent, it's perilous to publicize yourself as a cutrate deal driver
- as a buyer, would you trust the quality of the agent delivering the lowest quote?
- there are no active "auctions" in the top five most populous states - CA, TX, NY, IL, FL - implying observation #1 is indeed quite valid.
- Killerstartups.com reviews up to 20 internet startups per day... it's an unfiltered Techcrunch
- The Next Web Documentary c/o Mashable
- Prediction - Facebook will be the Largest Social Network in the World & Facebook is the Microsoft Office of Social Apps - just two more reactions to the new Facebook by Paul Allen, Jr. & Paul Kedrofsky

Real estate agents bid anonymously - without revealing their identity. That address first observation by pkitano. Real estate buyers or sellers have options to decline the bids by realtors based on their reviews and ratings.
Winners do not enter into any legal contract. It allows buyer or sellers to screen real estate agents who will provide the maximum savings for them.

You get what you pay for. Homecommission.com doesn't provide any informatin about how to contact them, where they're located and who the officers of the company are. When I looked for this on whois.org, it's withheld. Makes this company suspect in my book. Caviet emptor.
