Memorial Day links

Memorial Day has become a significant holiday again as long as America is involved in war. Here are a few statements:
A Real Estate Question Mark:

HomeCommission.com - New questionable business model asking real estate agents to quote their best listing commission rate in an auction format to get leads. Who thought this one up? Three observations:
  1. as an agent, it's perilous to publicize yourself as a cutrate deal driver
  2. as a buyer, would you trust the quality of the agent delivering the lowest quote?
  3. there are no active "auctions" in the top five most populous states - CA, TX, NY, IL, FL - implying observation #1 is indeed quite valid.

You get what you pay for. Homecommission.com doesn't provide any informatin about how to contact them, where they're located and who the officers of the company are. When I looked for this on whois.org, it's withheld. Makes this company suspect in my book. Caviet emptor.
