NBA Playoffs start today...  this year's is special for the Bay Area - our much-maligned Warriors made the playoffs for the first time since 1994 with a 9-1 run against some very tough teams. What's more, the Warriors have gelled into a powerful fluid offensive team after the midseason steal/deal of two athletic players for, what we now know in hindsight, a couple of duds. The new Warriors play with the feel of a run and gun college team... although they are reminiscent of 80's Laker showtime or the present day Suns, they are unique in the fact their starters are all capable of 20+ points, 4-8 assists and all but one of their top eight rotation can shoot the 3-pointer... they are an amazing watch (and I generally don't like watching ball on TV) and I'm one of the very few who will predict Warriors will beat the Mavericks, the best team in the NBA, in the first round.
