MyCurrency - a social network home valuation site

Techcrunch unveils MyCurrency, a new home valuation site that allows members to provide their own estimates of listed homes for sale and a "blog" to justify their numbers. Its members will presumably be the real estate agents who target specific neighborhoods. By consistently developing a portfolio of property evaluations, the agent will create an online presentation at MyCurrency that will assess their understanding of the neighborhood market.
Lead generation is the primary attraction for agents to post. Home buyers who want to understand the current market will use MyCurrency to track houses in their target neighborhoods and will interface with the agents who are posting in that neighborhood. Here's another marketing tool, like Localism and MyHouseKey, that provides a LOCAL venue where home buyers/sellers and Realtors can meet.
(MyCurrency is based in San Francisco, so I'll get first hand experience on its evolution as it develops organically here and spreads to other markets).

I got a spam email announcement of that today from them. Thats my big red flag right there. Maybe I'm just a grumpy jerk today, but I deleted the email and won't be visiting the site.

This is actually perfect timing for me, I wouldn't have hoped to find this home valuation site, I am really glad I did because this would help me get realistic numbers for my house. Let's hope my insurance agency will confirm those numbers.
