News mashups like Optevi NewsTracker loads news feeds, extracts meaningful tags and delivers related articles from other news sources and blogs within a clean interface. In other words, the news mashups automatically "technorati" news articles for drill down.
News mashups are inevitably going vertical. Wouldn't the Opteva-like interface make a great fit as a separate new product for Inman News or RISMedia?
